Dedicate Your Children

"Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as there" - Matthew 19:14.

Infant baptism and baby dedication are distinct practices, each rooted in different theological principles. While both involve parents presenting their children before the church, baby dedication does not include the use of water. This practice reflects the belief that salvation and baptism occur later in life, when the child grows and personally accepts Christ. This is referred to as “believer’s baptism,” as it takes place after an individual makes a personal profession of faith.

In a culture where children, families, and faith are continually under attack, it is vital to embrace these milestone moments and commit ourselves—and our children—to the Lord. The future of our families and the Church depends on it. Welcoming children into the world is one of our greatest joys, and supporting them and their parents as the body of Christ is one of our greatest honours.
